UC Santa Barbara had junior Daniel Mountcastle and sophomore Brian Schulz finish second and third in the men's 8-kilometer race at the Big West Conference Championships in Brea, Calif. Mountcastle covered the layout at Carbon Canyon Regional Park in 24:39.1 and Schulz clocked 24:40.5 for the Gauchos, who placed runner-up overall to Cal Poly by a 32-69 margin.
